Maureen Martinous is a Certified Early Childhood, Lower and Upper Elementary Montessori teacher with eleven years of experience in Montessori education. During that time, Maureen worked as a lead teacher in an Early Childhood Montessori classroom for five years and as an Elementary I (6-9) lead teacher for six years. Maureen currently works as an Elementary Montessori teacher and as an Associate Faculty member at the Forbes School of Business in the field of General Education. She earned a B.A. in Modern Languages (Spanish and Portuguese) from the University of Scranton, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law, and her MACTE accredited and IMC affiliated Montessori certifications from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Maureen is trained in Conscious Discipline and has her Orton Gillingham Teaching/Practitioner Level Certification. She is passionate in utilizing this program to assist students with reading disabilities. Maureen contributed as a Project Coordinator assisting in the development of a series of Guidance Videos for Adult Learners for the Center for Guided Montessori Studies program.
